FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to devices for carrying out chemical and mass transfer processes and can be used in the chemical industry both in laboratory conditions and directly at chemical industry enterprises, as well as in technological equipment for carrying out chemical processes at nuclear industry enterprises for processing of powdered elements of spent nuclear fuel. A furnace for sintering spent nuclear fuel with metal oxides contains a stationary part and a moving part. The stationary part houses the rotation drive of the moving part. The moving part includes a container with solid spherical ceramic elements, an internal casing for placing the container, a heating element for heating the casing and container, thermal insulation of external surfaces, a cooling system for the upper part of the container and a drive for rotating the container.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to reduce the overall dimensions of the furnace, improve the quality of processing of reactants, reduce formation of liquid radioactive waste during operation, and also optimize energy consumption and consumption of technological media.
