FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of screening for genetic vulnerabilities associated with tau protein aggregation. The methods involve providing an aggregation-positive cell population and an aggregation-negative cell population, wherein each cell population contains a Cas protein, introducing into each cell population a library containing a plurality of guide RNAs that target a plurality of genes, and determining the content of each of the specified multiple guide RNAs at multiple time points.
EFFECT: invention is effective for screening for genetic vulnerabilities associated with tau protein aggregation.
