SUBSTANCE: invention concerns a therapeutic composition in the form of a dental gel for the treatment of periodontal tissue. The proposed composition includes essential oil of juniper cones and the following excipients: carbomer 934, which provides a gel-like base for the composition, while carbomer 934 is dissolved in purified water, glycerin, which is introduced into the composition for plasticity and better spreadability of the gel, ethyl alcohol to dissolve the essential oil, benzalkonium chloride in the composition as a preservative to increase shelf life when opening the primary packaging, the volume of the finished product is calculated per 100 g: essential oil of juniper cones — 0.2 g; carbomer 934 — 1.5 g; glycerin — 5.0 g; ethyl alcohol 40% — 25.0 g; benzalkonium chloride — 0.01 g; the rest is water.

EFFECT: composition provides a prolonged therapeutic effect with bactericidal and antimicrobial effects.
