SUBSTANCE: dental gel for treating bacterial inflammatory diseases of the oral mucosa, selected from periodontitis, periodontitis and periostitis, in which the active pharmaceutical substance is oligohexamethylene guanidine hydrocitrate (OHMG-HC) of structural formula (5)

in which n₁, n₂ and n₃ are equal to 1–3; z equals 0.15–1.10; k equals (n₁ + n₂ + n₃ + z); R is or , with number-average molecular weight of 600–1,100 Da, wherein as auxiliary substances, the gel contains hydroxyethyl cellulose (HEC), polyethylene glycol (PEG), benzalkonium chloride (BAC), sucrose, levomenthol, isopropyl alcohol (IPA) and purified water, with the following content of components, wt.%: OHMG-GC 0.3–0.7; HEC 2.0–4.0; BAC 0.01–0.04; sucrose 0.25; levomenthol 0.02–0.03; IPA 0.15; PEG 1.75–2.75, purified water -up to 100.

EFFECT: use of the gel provides prolonged action, wherein the gel does not cause resistance in pathogenic bacteria.
