SUBSTANCE: group of inventions can be used for gluing products. A device for supplying glue without a glue cylinder includes a transport unit, as well as heating and dosing units. The transport unit comprises a transport means, an inlet and an outlet through which the adhesive, which is at least partially in form of a solid substance, is transported. The heating unit has heating means and also includes an inlet and an outlet. The dosing unit includes a dosing inlet, a longitudinal slot and a roller. In this case, the dosing unit is equipped with a means for applying a coloured substance and/or colouring agent at the border with the adhesive layer. The means for applying a coloured substance and/or a colouring agent has a mixing tank, a supply pipeline and an outlet for paint and is configured to apply a coloured substance and/or a colouring agent to the edge areas of the adhesive layer applied to the surface of the roller. A method for supplying glue is also proposed.
