FIELD: protection of vehicles.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the armour protection of wheels of special-purpose vehicles, in particular armoured vehicles. The protective screen is connected to the wheel hub by means of a bracket and is configured to protect at least an annular area around the axis of rotation of the wheel. The screen is made in the form of separate radial elements, each of which is connected to a bracket around the axis of rotation of the wheel and is equipped with a fastening element made in the form of a radial protrusion directed towards the axis of rotation of the wheel. Moreover, the length of the fastening element is made greater than the length of its protruding part due to the creation of two slots in the protection element along the sides of the protrusion.
EFFECT: increasing the reliability of wheel protection and the survivability of the protective screen.
