SUBSTANCE: variant of glutamate cysteine ligase having glutamate cysteine ligase activity, in which the amino acid corresponding to position 86 from the N-terminus of the amino acid sequence SEQ ID NO: 1, replaced by another amino acid. The invention also relates to a method for producing glutathione, comprising cultivating in a culture medium a microorganism containing a variant of glutamate-cysteine ligase according to the invention; a polynucleotide encoding this variant, and a vector containing this polynucleotide.
EFFECT: obtaining glutathione with a high degree of efficiency.
