FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means for damping vibrations and can be used to reduce vibrations of mobile lathes. The effect is achieved due to the base for the machine, characterized in that it contains a supporting part and a frame of the machine, wherein the supporting part is made in the form of a frame structure, the horizontal surfaces of which are covered with sheet material; the supporting part contains cavities distributed throughout its volume, made with the possibility of opening, in which vibration-damping bulk material is located; the frame of the machine is made in the form of a spatial frame structure rigidly fixed to the supporting part, on which elements for fixing the machine bed are placed; the containers in the supporting part are partially and unevenly filled with vibration-damping bulk material; cast iron, or steel, or lead shot was used as a vibration-damping bulk material located in the containers of the supporting part. The supporting part and frame of the machine are located in the body.
EFFECT: vibration isolation for a mobile metal-cutting lathe with the ability to change the vibration damping characteristics of the device depending on external operating conditions.
