FIELD: oil production industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to monitor tripping operations at oil wells, in particular to determine compliance with the requirements of the regulations for the speed of make-up of casing and tubing with each other. A method is claimed for monitoring the process of making up casing and tubing strings under conditions of lowering them into oil wells, in which a tachometer unit is rigidly attached to a suspended pipe ready for make-up, containing a block of inertial MEMS sensors as a sensitive element, as well as a computing element and power unit. With the start of make-up, the operator controlling the process, through a software application on a mobile terminal connected by a wireless data exchange channel with the tachometer unit, starts the process of recording data on the angular velocity of rotation of the pipe with a MEMS sensor unit. During make-up, the measured speed values are transferred to the memory of the tachometer device. At the end of make-up, the operator stops the measurement through the software application and the measured data is automatically transmitted to the mobile terminal. At the same time, a protocol report with data on the speed of making up the pipe is generated and displayed in the software application, according to which the make-up is accepted or recognized as defective.
EFFECT: improvement of quality and reliability of threaded connections of tubing and casing pipes by preventing the lowering into the well of those pipes, during the screwing of which it was recorded on site that their rotation speed did not comply with the requirements of regulatory documentation.
