FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: air-cooling structure of a drum motor with an external rotor contains a fixed base, an end cover assembly and a stator block, including a casing, axial stiffeners, air deflector structures, bearing seats, a main shaft and an assembly of stator winding and iron core. The air deflector structures are connected respectively to the axial stiffeners and the main shaft. The axial stiffeners are connected respectively to the bearing seats, the stator casing and the main shaft. The fixed base is equipped with channels for air inlet and outlet. The end cap assembly is provided with air inlet and outlet holes. An air channel is formed between the stator casing, the air deflector structures and the axial stiffeners outside the shaft. A fan at one end of the main shaft directs a flow of cooling air through the fixed base and end cap assembly into an air passage to cool the stator iron core, and then through an air passage outside the shaft.
EFFECT: improved cooling.
