FIELD: snow melting.
SUBSTANCE: methods for forced melting of snow used in various sectors of the national economy. A method for melting snow includes supplying snow to a container of a snow-melting unit, draining water from a container of a snow-melting unit, and purifying the discharged water. Snow is melted due to its contact with finned pipes placed inside the container of the snow-melting unit and heated by the coolant supplied by the circulation pump from the exhaust gas heat recovery unit of the gas pumping unit of the compressor station of the main gas pipeline.
EFFECT: snow melting at the compressor station of the main gas pipeline without the use of additional energy sources.
