FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention is related to switching devices for medium voltage electrical systems. The control unit (7) is configured to implement a diagnostic method (100) for monitoring the operating state of one or more components of said electrical poles (2). The diagnostic method (100) includes the following steps: - based on the selected optimal position curve (CIP), one or more first curves (Clv, CIT ) are obtained (101) characterizing the optimal parameters of the specified switching device, during the opening or closing of the switching device; - based on the determination signals (PF, vF, TF) issued by the feedback control circuit (72) of the specified control unit, by processing the specified signal (θD) state of the servomotor, one or more second curves (CAv, CAT) characterizing the actual parameters of the specified switching device during the opening or closing of the specified switching device are calculated (102); a comparison procedure (150) between the specified first and second curves (Clv, CIT, CAv, CAT) is performed (103).

EFFECT: increasing the reliability of monitoring the operating condition of the internal components of the electric poles.
