FIELD: electroplating.

SUBSTANCE: used for coating with indium. The method includes electrolysis of an aqueous solution containing, g/l: indium nitrate (for metal) 7-10, sodium acetate 100-150, acetic acid (96%) 100-150 ml/l, while the aqueous solution additionally contains as a surfactant “VOX Drop Super Active Oxygen” 0.2-0.5 ml/l, and the deposition is carried out at a current density of 0.5-1.0 A/dm2, at a temperature of 20-30°C, pH =4-5 using an insoluble anode, the cathodic current efficiency in these modes of electrolysis is 92-94%.

EFFECT: development of a stable and environmentally less hazardous acetic acid solution for electrodeposition of high-quality coatings with indium.
