FIELD: microwave technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to microwave isolators. The microwave isolator contains microstrip microwave leads in two arms, and a radio-absorbing load in the third arm. Each arm contains a waveguide integrated into a ferrite substrate with top and bottom metallization, formed by two rows of metallized holes; in this case, the third arm contains a short-circuited section along the wide wall of the waveguide integrated into the substrate, in which a radio-absorbing load is located in the form of a wedge-shaped polygonal insert. The insert is made volumetric, with a length of at least 1.1 , where - wavelength in the waveguide integrated into the substrate, the radio-absorbing insert is located between the upper and lower metallization layers forming the valve topology; in this case, the magnetic system of the valve is located on the upper metallization layer of the ferrite substrate between two arms with microstrip microwave leads.
EFFECT: expansion of the operating frequency band of the device, improved isolation between the microwave terminals of the valve, and reduction in weight and size characteristics.
