FIELD: sheep farming.

SUBSTANCE: method of determining the intrabreed type of productivity of fine-fleece sheep is based on the following: in ewe lambs obtained from crossing ewes of the fine-fleece breed of the wool direction of productivity with rams of the fine-fleece breed of the wool-meat direction of productivity, at the age of 13.5 months, a visual assessment of the degree of wool and meat productivity is performed. For the ewe lambs, the following exterior-productive indicators are determined: height at the withers, chest depth, chest girth, oblique length of the body, long-legged indices, skewness, and the following indicators: “live weight”, “physical wool clipping”, production typicality coefficient for each animal. Then ewe lambs are distributed into created groups according to the types of productivity depending on the values of the coefficient of production typicality determined for each animal. With values of the production typicality coefficient in the range of 56–65 ewe lambs are classified as the animals of the group of the wool type of productivity, with values in the range of 70–80 ewe lambs are classified as the animals of the group of the wool and meat type of productivity, and with values in the range of 23–35 ewe lambs are classified as the animals of the group of the meat and wool type of productivity.

EFFECT: increasing the efficiency of sheep selection to create groups with a certain type of productivity.
