FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: methods for chemicothermal treatment of parts made of aluminum alloys, used in mechanical engineering for surface hardening of machine parts. The method includes preliminary preparation of the surface of the part, placing the part in the working chamber of an ion-plasma installation, supplying a working saturating medium to this chamber, heating the part to the nitriding temperature and holding at this temperature until the required thickness of the nitrided layer is formed, while preparing the surface of the part is carried out by zincate treatment followed by ion etching in argon at pressures ranging from 1.0⋅10-1 to 3.0⋅10-1 Pa, with a negative bias voltage on the product in the range from 400 to 600 V until the film formed during zincate treatment is completely removed.
EFFECT: increase in the wear resistance of the nitrided layer of parts made of aluminum alloys.
