FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: methods for chemicothermal treatment of parts made of alloy alloys, used in mechanical engineering for surface hardening of machine parts. The method includes preliminary preparation and activation of the surface of the part before nitriding and its ion nitriding. Moreover, preliminary preparation is carried out in three stages. At the first stage, the part is electropolished in the environment of granules made of ion exchange resins, at the second stage, adsorption cleaning of the surface of the part is carried out by processing in a vacuum in the environment of ion exchange resin granules, and at the third stage, ion cleaning of the surface is carried out, with electropolishing of the part, adsorption cleaning, ion cleaning and ion implantation is carried out in separate working chambers connected to each other through vacuum shutters, equipped with devices for transporting the part, ensuring sequential movement of the workpiece from one working chamber to another without disturbing the state of the working environment of each chamber. Activation of the surface layer of the part is carried out by ion-implantation treatment with nitrogen ions at an ion energy of 25 to 30 keV. The unit comprises individual working chambers connected to each other, forming process modules located in the following sequence: an electropolishing module, an adsorption cleaning module, an ion cleaning and ion implantation module, an ion nitriding module, configured to transport workpieces from one module to another.
EFFECT: improved quality of the nitrided layer of parts made of alloy steels.
