FIELD: partial oxidation method.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to partial oxidation performed in autothermal reforming reactors or partial oxidation reactors. The method of partial oxidation of gaseous hydrocarbon fuel (5) is carried out in a reactor (1), including a vessel (30), a reaction chamber (2) and at least one burner unit (10). A gaseous product (6) containing hydrogen and carbon monoxide is formed. The burner assembly (10) has a single nozzle (11) for the oxidizer. The reactor (1) includes at least one fuel channel (12) communicating with the inlet (31) of said gaseous hydrocarbon fuel. The oxidizer nozzle (11) contains an oxidizer nozzle pipe (13) and an oxidizer nozzle outlet (14). The oxidizer nozzle pipe (13) and the fuel channel (12) are designed to form a diffusion flame. The outlet (14) of the oxidizer nozzle has the form of two or more oblong petals (141-145) protruding from the axis (17) of the pipe (13) of the oxidizer nozzle. The method includes supplying an oxidizer (4) to an oxidizer nozzle of a reactor, supplying a hydrocarbon fuel (5) to a fuel channel of the reactor, and forming a diffusion flame (F) at the outlet of the fuel nozzle.
EFFECT: invention improves the method of partial oxidation of gaseous hydrocarbon fuel and reduces soot formation for a given set of process parameters.
