FIELD: medical equipment.
SUBSTANCE: following is described: a method of producing needles with sorption properties by applying an atomic layer deposition method of iron oxide coating to acupuncture needles, during which acupuncture needles for reflexology, consisting of a handle and a rod, made of metal material, are placed in a reactor in which a vacuum is created up to a pressure value of 10 mbar + 0.04 mbar, as well as a temperature of 150°C. Then a precursor, ferrocene-carboxylic acid, is delivered to the reactor in the form of vapor. Next, nitrogen is introduced into the reactor and the reactor is pumped out to the initial pressure. The process is repeated in a pulsed mode cycle after cycle until a given Fe3O4 nanofilm coating thickness of 14 nm ± 0.1 nm is formed, and the nanofilm has the form of nano-sized sieves, as shown in Fig. 1 b). Acupuncture needles obtained by the above method and their use for the sorption of metal ions are also described. The technical result is the development of a technically and technologically simpler, and therefore cheaper, method of applying a magnetic separation film of Fe3O4 to the surface of acupuncture needles, giving them sorption properties.
EFFECT: needles of the invention allow the sorption of the following heavy and toxic metal ions: cadmium, arsenic, manganese, cesium, aluminum, iron, cobalt, nickel, chromium, mercury, lead, copper, zinc, beryllium, antimony, thallium, bismuth, osmium, tin, molybdenum, zirconium, titanium, vanadium, molybdenum, gallium.
