SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a thermally controlled composition for temporarily stopping bleeding and a method of its use. A temperature-controlled composition to temporarily stop bleeding contains a heat-sensitive polymer and auxiliary substances; according to the invention, a block copolymer of ethylene oxide and propylene oxide is additionally used as a heat-sensitive polymer, and carbon dioxide, polyhexamethylene biguanide hydrochloride, water and, additionally, tranexamic acid and/or are used as auxiliary substances or protamine sulfate, wherein the composition is obtained by mixing in the following ratio of components, wt.%: 15–30 of block copolymer of ethylene oxide and propylene oxide; 5–10 of carbon dioxide; 0.5 of tranexamic acid; and/or 0.1 of protamine sulfate; 0.002 of polyhexamethylene biguanide hydrochloride; the rest is water. The method of using a thermally controlled composition to temporarily stop bleeding is as follows: the composition is used with the help of a balloon with a pressure of 1.5–10 atm, and it is injected into the wound canal once in a volume sufficient to close the damage, and in case of wounds of blood vessels, compression is performed distally and proximally to the injury site, after which the composition is administered until the compression site is completely filled.

EFFECT: above-described group of inventions makes it possible to create quick-hardening compositions for temporarily stopping bleeding, which have improved hemostatic properties.
