FIELD: laboratory equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to laboratory installations and is intended to study the processes of adsorption of toxic substances from vehicle exhaust gases. The installation for studying the processes of adsorption of toxic substances from vehicle exhaust gases consists of a reaction chamber equipped with devices for supplying powdered adsorbent. The installation additionally includes a divider, a fine mesh for placing crushed adsorbent, fans for swirling it, and filters made of gas-permeable material to prevent loss of adsorbent installed in the inlet and outlet pipes of the reaction chamber.
EFFECT: ability to determine dependence of the concentration of toxic combustion products in vehicle exhaust gases on the properties of the adsorbent (chemical composition, average particle diameter, adsorbent concentration in the gaseous environment), which will allow assessing the effectiveness of devices used to reduce emissions of harmful components of vehicle exhaust gases into the atmosphere.
