FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: backup power supply device can be used in power supply devices for communications equipment. The device comprises a main power circuit connected to the main power source and a backup power circuit connected to the backup power circuit. Moreover, the main and backup power circuits are assembled according to the same circuit and are identical to each other. Each of them consists of a suppressor diode, a high-side driver, capacitors, a limiting resistor, a first field-effect transistor, a low-side driver, and a second field-effect transistor. The outputs from the drains of the field-effect transistors of the main and backup power circuits are connected using an OR connection, forming a positive operating voltage at the load. The outputs from the sources of the field-effect transistors of the main and backup power circuits are connected using an OR connection, forming a negative operating voltage at the load.
