FIELD: biotechnology.

SUBSTANCE: method for evaluating the effectiveness of disinfection of microbial biofilms on the surface of a material is proposed, including sterilization of the material for applying microorganisms, applying microorganisms to its surface, growing microorganisms to the state of biofilms on the surface of the material; the resulting biofilm is brought into contact with a disinfectant or subjected to physical biocidal action; the results of evaluating the effectiveness of the antimicrobial action are presented as percentages or proportions relative to the content of viable cells in control samples that have not been disinfected (options). Sterilized glass fiber or cellulose is used as a material for applying microorganisms, and the material with applied microorganisms is placed on the surface of a dense nutrient medium for their cultivation; or using sterilized particles of metal, or plastic, or ceramics with a side size of at least 1 mm and not more than 4 mm, the material and microorganisms are introduced into a liquid sterile nutrient medium for growing microorganisms.
