FIELD: decoding.
SUBSTANCE: low density parity check decoding. To do this, decoding is performed in a belt method using a parity check matrix (PCM) with customizable parameters: regular or irregular matrices with increasing block, code rate and submatrix size, with a block structure, where at least two PCM data subblock matrices are read and written in each from many clocks. The decoder with a token ring architecture with a distributed control system implements synchronization of decoder modules to significantly reduce dynamic power. Activation of the selected control unit by transferring a token is carried out together with the computing elements controlled by this control unit. Once the module's calculations are completed and the token is transmitted, the clock signal propagated in the corresponding computation unit is blocked.
EFFECT: reduction in power consumption without degrading the decoder parameters.
