METHOD FOR REMOVING PROTECTIVE COATINGS FROM CONDUCTIVE SURFACES Russian patent published in 2024 - IPC C25F5/00

Abstract RU 2811297 C1

FIELD: electric chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: electrochemical removal of ceramic and metal layers and coatings from electrically conductive surfaces, namely electrolyte-plasma method for removing coatings. The method includes electrolyte-plasma treatment of the surface of the product, which is the anode, in the electrolyte, which is the cathode; aqueous solutions with a pH value in the range of 2≤ pH≤ 11 are used as the electrolyte, while the part is in the air, its surface is treated with one or several jets of electrolyte at a temperature of 40-60°C, the part is oriented in such a way that during processing the electrolyte does not accumulate on the surface of the part and in cavities and is able to freely flow into the storage container. One or more jets of electrolyte are formed by one or more dielectric nozzle attachments mounted on the ends of metal nozzles made of corrosion-resistant material, the nozzles are grouped together and have the ability to move together in space along three spatial coordinates, and the workpiece has the ability to rotate.

EFFECT: increasing selectivity and intensifying the process of removing protective coatings from the surface of metal products without damaging the base material.
