FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates namely to antifriction materials obtained by powder metallurgy, in particular to iron-based composite materials, and used for the manufacture of sleeves for sliding bearings and sliding electrical contacts. The iron-based composite antifriction material consists of a sintered porous iron matrix impregnated with a lead alloy. There is a diffusion chromium coating with a thickness of 0.02-0.1 mm on the surface of the matrix, and the porosity of the iron matrix is 15-35%.
EFFECT: increased hardness and wear resistance of the surface layer of the sintered matrix.
