FIELD: mechanized devices.
SUBSTANCE: rotary tables with five degrees of freedom for fixing and moving objects of arbitrary shape in space used to carry out a wide range of work both in specialized protective boxes (chambers) and in the open air: research surfaces of parts (products) of various geometric shapes using quantitative metallography (fractography) methods, creating three-dimensional models of parts (products) of complex geometry using 3D scanning method, as well as applying various coatings (painting) on the surfaces of parts (products) of various geometric shapes. A device with an automated positioning system for spatial orientation of the objects under study contains a base, an automated positioning system and a mechanism for fixing the object under study. The automated positioning system is installed on the base and is made in the form of main - lower, central and upper positioning blocks, as well as an additional positioning block, sequentially interacting with each other. Each positioning unit is equipped with a base and a travel drive, and the locking mechanism is installed on an additional positioning unit. The movement drive of the main positioning units is made in the form of threaded and smooth guides and a stepper motor that rotates the threaded guide, and the movement drive of the additional positioning unit is made in the form of a shaft, gears and a stepper motor that rotates the gears. The additional positioning block is made in the form of a V-shaped base, at the top of which a displacement drive is installed, changing the position of the side surfaces relative to each other.
EFFECT: expansion of functionality with an increase in the quality of the results of the work performed.
