FIELD: carbon fiber industry.
SUBSTANCE: production of structural products for special purposes in additive techniques. A method has been proposed for producing sizing carbon fiber by applying a sizing agent consisting of copolyhydroxyether (SPHE) based on epichlorohydrin, 4,4'-dixidiphenylpropane and 4,4'-dioxyphthalophenone with a degree of polymerization n=90-95, onto carbon fiber from a solution with mass concentrations 0.25-0.5% in a mixture of organic solvents chloroform and dioxane V (chloroform): V (dioxane) = 100:50, followed by a stepwise increase in temperature and simultaneous distillation of solvents and a carbon fiber composite, which contains 80 wt.% of the polymer matrix based on polyetheretherketone and 20 wt.% finished carbon fiber obtained by the proposed method.
EFFECT: reduction in the duration of the process for obtaining sizing carbon fibers and improving the physical and mechanical properties of the created carbon fiber composites due to the introduction of a sizing composition, which increases the wettability of the filler and increases the boundary interactions between the filler and the polyetheretherketone matrix.
