SUBSTANCE: viscosity sensors used to measure the viscosity of liquids. The fiber-optic viscosity sensor, located inside the pipe, contains an electromagnetic radiation source connected via a fiber light guide, configured to switch the operating wavelength, a sensitive element and a photodetector included in the information processing unit. The sensing element is made of an optical fiber on which fiber Bragg gratings are written, and a lever attached to the optical fiber, designed to transmit force from the measured medium to the fiber. In this case, one part of the lever is located in the pipe, and the other part of the lever and the optical fiber of the sensing element are located outside the pipe.

EFFECT: ability to perform continuous remote measurement of the viscosity of a liquid inside a pipe.
