FIELD: molecular biology; biotechnology; medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mitochondria modified by means of a fusion protein, and a pharmaceutical composition containing them as an active ingredient. The mitochondria of the invention can be efficiently delivered to a target, into a cell where they exhibit various effects, or into the body. Modified mitochondria can be used as an antitumor agent in the treatment of various diseases. In addition, a fusion protein containing the protein of interest and a fusion protein containing the targeting protein can be used to modify mitochondria.
EFFECT: invention provides an effective protein delivery system using mitochondria as a carrier for the treatment of diseases.
