FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: disclosed is use of a recombinant microorganism, in which activity of mdtH protein is increased in comparison with its endogenous activity, for production of O-phosphoserine. Also disclosed are methods of producing O-phosphoserine, cysteine and a cysteine derivative using said microorganism. Also disclosed is a recombinant microorganism for producing O-phosphoserine, in which mdtH protein activity is increased compared to its endogenous activity and in which phosphoserine phosphatase (SerB) activity is additionally weakened compared to its endogenous activity, as well as a recombinant microorganism for producing O-phosphoserine, in which mdtH protein activity is increased compared to its endogenous activity and in which the activity of any of phosphoglycerate dehydrogenase (SerA), phosphoserine aminotransferase (SerC) or a combination thereof is further increased compared to its endogenous activity.
EFFECT: invention provides highly productive production of O-phosphoserine.
