FIELD: computer technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to technology for forming colour images, in particular to documents containing a holographic structure that forms an ordered structure of pixels, with the help of which a colour image is formed. The claimed security document (2) contains: first layer (24) including metal holographic structure (32) forming ordered structure (29) of pixels (30), each containing subpixels (31) of different colours; and second layer (34) located opposite the first layer, the said second layer being opaque to visible wavelengths. First layer (42) contains openings (40) made using first laser beam (LS1), these first holes locally, through holographic structure (32), showing dark areas (42) in subpixels (31) caused by underlying regions (41) of second opaque layer (34), so that personalized image (IG) is formed from an ordered structure of pixels (30) in combination with dark areas (42).

EFFECT: flexible and secure personalization of colour images while simultaneously increasing the level of image brightness, as well as colour saturation.
