FIELD: natural gas treatment.

SUBSTANCE: preparing natural gas for long-distance transportation used for automatic control of gas drying in multifunctional absorbers (MFA) of complex gas treatment plants located in the Far North of the Russian Federation. In the method of automatic control of the gas drying process, an automated process control system (APCS) calculates the value of the flow rate Gfl of the regenerated absorbent - diethylene glycol (DEG), necessary for drying the current flow rate of the produced gas and corrects its value by introducing a correctionΔ. The value and the sign of correction Δ is determined by APCS based on comparison of the dew point temperature setpoint of the dried gas Td.p.s. with its actually measured value Td.p.a. in real time using a regenerated DEG (RDEG) mass flow correction unit. From the output of the correction block, the corrected signal for setting the RDEG supply is supplied to the PV input of the PID regulator of the RDEG flow rate, which controls its supply to the MFA.

EFFECT: ensuring automatic maintenance of the gas preparation mode for long-distance transportation.
