FIELD: natural gas industry.

SUBSTANCE: treatment of natural gas for long-distance transport, in particular, the automatic control of gas drying in MFAs at gas treatment plants located in the North of the Russian Federation. The method for automatically controlling the gas drying process in the MFAs at the gas treatment plant includes control by means of an automated process control system (APCS) of the gas treatment unit with a given time discreteness of pressure and temperature of the raw gas at the MFA inlet, control of the pressure, temperature, flow rate and dew point temperature of the dried gas at the MFA outlet. The automated process control system automatically maintains supply of regenerated diethylene glycol (RDEG) to the MFA, taking into account flowrate and moisture content of the produced gas, the concentration of RDEG and saturated diethylene glycol. The automated process control system also monitors and analyses the dynamics of the behaviour of the actual RDEG flowrate relative to the calculated RDEG flowrate according to the technological process model and controls the RDEG flowrate supplied to the MFA using a cascade of two proportional-integral-differentiating (PID) controllers and a RDEG mass flow correction unit, implemented on the basis of the automated process control system of the gas treatment plant.

EFFECT: invention ensures automatic maintenance of the gas treatment conditions for long-distance transport at gas treatment plants located in the Northern regions of the Russian Federation in compliance with the technological standards and restrictions provided for by its technological regulations, in various modes of its operation.
