SUBSTANCE: method of treating Alzheimer's disease (AD) in a patient is described, the said method includes administering a vaccine composition containing one or more immunogenic constructs of Aβ-a peptide selected from the group consisting of the following SEQ ID NO: 62, 63, 64, 65. Also the following is presented: a composition containing an antibody or its epitope-binding fragment directed against Aβ1-14 immunogenic construct of Aβ-a peptide selected from the group consisting of the following SEQ ID NO: 62, 63, 64, 65, and a pharmaceutically acceptable delivery vehicle and/or adjuvant. And also a method of treating Alzheimer's disease (AD) in a patient, including the following: administering the specified composition to the patient.
EFFECT: invention stimulates the formation of highly specific antibodies directed against the N-terminus of Aβ-peptide, which provides protective immune responses in patients with Alzheimer's disease or those being at risk for Alzheimer's disease.
