FIELD: synthetic jewellery.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to a glass-ceramic material for production of synthetic stones for costume jewellery and jewellery, available in a wide range of colours, reliably imitating natural precious stones, due to the high content of the crystalline phase of spinel and the low content of SiO2. The glass-ceramic material contains at least 20% of the nanocrystalline spinel phase and has the following composition, in wt.%: SiO2 from 20 to 40, B2O3 from 1.5 to 10, Al2O3 from 20 to 35, MgO from 0.1 to 20, ZnO from 0.1 to 20, where the content of MgO + ZnO is according to at least 10%. The glass-ceramic material may additionally contain a nucleating agent, in wt.%: ZrO2 from 0.5 to 15 and TiO2 from 0 to 15, where the content of TiO2+ZrO2 is at least 5%, for controlled crystallization of the crystalline phases ZrO2 and ZrTiO4 in the volume of glass-ceramic material, as well as from 0 to 20 wt.% of colouring additives in form of CoO, NiO, CuO, Fe2O3, MnO2, Cr2O3, V2O5, Pr2O3, CeO2, Nd2O3, Er2O3, AgO and Au.
EFFECT: material has excellent mechanical properties, chemical resistance and heat resistance.
