SUBSTANCE: invention relates to material for manufacturing synthetic gems for jewelry and jewelry industry. Glass material is proposed for manufacturing jewelry and jewelry gems with high refractive index and high temperature resistance, in which aluminosilicate glass with the addition of oxides of rare earth elements and niobium pentoxide having refractive index of at least 1.65 and light dispersion higher than 0.012 includes (in weight percent): from 21 to 30% of SiO2, from 26 to 31% of Al2O3, from 26 to 45% of Y2O3+La2O3, from 0.5 to 7% of Nb2O5.

EFFECT: aim of the invention is obtaining material for manufacturing jewelry.
