FIELD: pharmaceuticals and medicine.
SUBSTANCE: following is proposed: a method of production of an oral thin film comprising microparticles containing a hydrophobic pharmaceutically active substance, which includes the following stages: a) obtaining a solution containing a hydrophobic polymer, a hydrophobic pharmaceutically active substance and a hydrophobic solvent, b1) providing a hydrophilic polymer and providing a solvent-immiscible step a) hydrophilic solvent, or b2) providing a solution containing a hydrophilic polymer and immiscible with the solvent from step a) hydrophilic solvent, c1) mixing the solution from step a) with the hydrophilic polymer from step b1) followed by adding the solvent immiscible step a) hydrophilic solvent from step b1) to obtain an emulsion, or c2) mixing the solution from step a) and the solution from step b2) to obtain an emulsion, and d) distributing and drying the emulsion from step c1) or c2) to obtain an oral thin film containing microparticles. An oral thin film obtained by this method and the use of the resulting film as a medicine are also disclosed.
EFFECT: disclosed method reduces the number of technological steps in obtaining a thin film containing microparticles of the active substance in the form of a separate stable phase.
