FIELD: pharmaceuticals; medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicinal products, namely to blood substitutes in the form of an emulsion based on perfluoroorganic compounds and polyelectrolytes, as well as methods of their preparation. The following is proposed: a method of production of a sterile perfluorocarbon emulsion for infusion for medical purposes, which consists in carrying out preliminary sterilizing filtration of a mixture of liquids of perfluoroorganic compounds, with a ratio of C8-C10 perfluoroorganic compounds to C11-C12 perfluoroorganic compounds from 1:1 to 1:4, with mixture densities from 1.872 to 1.945 g/ml in aqueous solution and one or more emulsifiers in total — not more than 270 mg/ml, adding one or more polyelectrolytes in total — not more than 3 mg/ml, dispersed at speeds up to 3,000 rpm; homogenizing the resulting dispersion by passing through a high-pressure homogenizer at a pressure of up to 120 MPa, diluting the resulting emulsion with water for injection.
EFFECT: method allows to reduce the number of homogenization cycles and quickly obtain a PFOS emulsion.
