SUBSTANCE: ophthalmic device for the treatment of resistant bacterial keratitis, the said device includes a contact lens containing quantum dots selected from CdTe/Cd group with a fluorescence wavelength of 710 nm, InP/ZnSe/ZnS group with a fluorescence wavelength of 650 nm. A method of manufacturing an ophthalmic device, according to which a contact lens is treated by its immersing for 30 minutes in a 10% colloidal solution of quantum dots selected from CdTe/Cd group with a fluorescence wavelength of 710 nm, InP/ZnSe/ZnS group with a fluorescence wavelength of 650 nm, after which the contact lens is rinsed for 30 seconds in BSS balanced salt solution. A method of treating resistant bacterial keratitis, including placing an ophthalmic device on the eye for at least 5 days, while instilling an anti-infective agent of 0.05 ml at least 4 times a day during the entire period of wearing the contact lens.

EFFECT: expansion of the arsenal of means for combating resistant bacterial keratitis, the complete cure of resistant bacterial keratitis.
