FIELD: hydroacoustics.
SUBSTANCE: hydroacoustic system for detecting underwater objects is proposed containing a hydroacoustic device and a software and hardware complex. The hydroacoustic device contains a waterproof housing, one transmitting and at least three receiving antennas located on the housing, as well as a power supply located inside the housing. The antennas of the hydroacoustic device are configured to emit and receive hydroacoustic signals in the upper hemisphere, wherein the emitting antenna consists of at least nine emitting elements, each of the at least three receiving antennas consists of at least twelve receiving elements, and power supply is made with the ability to supply power to the elements of the specified transmitting and receiving antennas. The software and hardware complex of the hydroacoustic system contains a computing unit and is connected to a hydroacoustic device with the ability to control the operation of the antennas using control signals and with the ability to receive and process signals received by each of the at least three receiving antennas. In this case, the software and hardware complex of the hydroacoustic system is configured to generate sector radiation patterns for each element of each of the emitting and at least three receiving antennas, and the sectors are selected in such a way as to ensure coverage of the upper hemisphere, and the radiation pattern is optimized by the Dolph-Chebyshev transformation, and also with the ability to determine the signal threshold value for each sector. Signal processing by the software and hardware complex includes, for each of at least three receiving antennas, summing the signals received by different elements of the corresponding receiving antenna in one sector to obtain the resulting signal value for each receiving sector. Also, the software and hardware complex is configured to issue a message about the detection of an underwater object in a sector based on comparison of the resulting signal value for each sector with a threshold value corresponding to the specified sector, if the resulting signal value exceeds a specified threshold value for at least one of the specified at least at least three receiving antennas. A method for detecting underwater objects using such a hydroacoustic system is also proposed.
EFFECT: improved accuracy and reliability of detection of underwater objects due to the reduced influence of surface and bottom reverberation, as well as elimination of the influence on the reception of foreign objects located within the controlled water area.
