FIELD: microbiology; biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: method of identifying and differentiating Listeria monocytogenes is described. Microorganisms are grown on an agar nutrient medium containing 0.02% activated carbon. Imprints of colonies are obtained on a nitrocellulose membrane. Colony fingerprints are visualized using polyclonal monospecific antibodies against internalin B conjugated to horseradish peroxidase. The invention can be used for sanitary and epidemiological control of food contamination.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to differentiate Listeria monocytogenes colonies from other microorganisms and representatives of the genus Listeria.
