FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to nitrogen-containing fertilizers. The fertilizer particle includes a core and an outer layer of a modifier containing an iron chelate component dissolved in a solvent, wherein the solvent is selected from the group of glycols, glycol ethers and mixtures thereof, and the solvent constitutes from about 30 to about 90 wt.% of the modifier. The modifier contains urea and at least 30 g/l of iron. The solvent is selected from the group consisting of monoethylene glycol, monopropylene glycol, diethylene glycol, 2-(2-ethoxyethoxy)ethan-1-ol, also known as diethylene glycol monoethyl ether, and mixtures thereof. The weight ratio of the iron chelate component to the solvent in the modifier ranges from 1:9 to 3:1. The modifier constitutes from 0.1 to 2.0 wt.%, in particular from 0.1 to 1.0 wt.%, of the fertilizer particle.
EFFECT: proposed fertilizer particle contains the microelement iron in an easily digestible form, has anti-caking properties, increased crush strength and demonstrates long-term storage stability.
