FIELD: structural materials.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to structural materials for use in aircraft construction, mechanical engineering and other industries and concerns a titanium-polymer layered material and a product made from it. The material includes at least two layers of metal sheets and a layer of organoplastic located between them, made of prepreg based on aramid fibres and an adhesive polymer binder. The metal sheet is made of titanium alloy with an elastic modulus of at least 100 GPa, the adhesive polymer binder is a thermosetting epoxy binder containing 55-70 wt.% of tetrafunctional chlorine-containing epoxy resin, the surface of the titanium alloy sheets is subjected to preliminary refining treatment, after which the titanium alloy sheets are subjected to chemical phosphating.
EFFECT: invention provides increased tensile strength of titanium-polymer layered material while ensuring a high level of cyclic durability characteristics (CDU) - with σmax = 290 MPa material provides >1,000,000 cycles without destruction and impact strength KCU of 5.6 kgf-m/cm2.
