METHOD FOR DETERMINING TILTED FLIGHT VISUAL RANGE Russian patent published in 2024 - IPC G01W1/00 G01N21/00

Abstract RU 2812498 C1

FIELD: meteorology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates in particular to the methods for measuring visibility, and can be used in automated flight safety systems. The invention is aimed at increasing the accuracy of determining the tilted flight visual range taking into account the altitude and flight speed of the aircraft, which is achieved by measuring the height of the cloud base using a laser meter for the height of the cloud base, measuring the meteorological visibility range using a pulse photometer, entering the flight altitude from the flight mission of the pilot of the aircraft, height of the cloud base, meteorological visibility range into the device for determining the tilted flight visibility range, containing a block for determining the optical model (1), a block for determining the coefficients (2), a block determining horizontal visibility (3), a block for determining the viewing angle (4), a block for determining the tilted flight visual range (5), and transmit information about weather conditions from the weather station to the device for determining the tilted flight visual range. The tilted flight visual range is determined taking into account the altitude and flight speed of the aircraft, which is used when drawing up the flight route and planned flight table.

EFFECT: increasing the accuracy of determining the tilted flight visual range.
