METHOD FOR STUDYING GEAR MESH CONTACT IN MULTI-SATELLITE PLANETARY GEAR Russian patent published in 2024 - IPC G01B5/20

Abstract RU 2812658 C1

FIELD: mechanical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the means and methods for monitoring gear contact in planetary gears. The method for studying the engagement contact of gears in a multi-satellite planetary gear consists in electrically connecting the central gear coupled with the satellites mounted on the carrier in series, connecting the central gear to a power source, ensuring constant contact in one gear pair. The nature of the contact in a gear pair is judged by the interruption of current in the circuit. The power source is connected to the power supply and voltage is supplied through the speed controller to the electric motor. The planetary gear is started and simultaneously the current from the positive contact of the power supply is supplied first to the drive shaft stand, then to the central wheel and to the satellite made of metal, and through the carrier to the driven shaft, with the electrical circuit closing to the driven shaft stand. Other satellites are made dielectric, and with the help of a digital multimeter power supply built into the circuit, the measurement data inside the circuit is transferred to a personal computer.

EFFECT: monitoring of the presence of gear contact between wheels in a multi-satellite planetary gear is provided in order to improve the design of planetary gears, ensuring uniform distribution of loads across the satellites.
