FIELD: medicine; abdominal surgery.

SUBSTANCE: compression device is applied through the gate of the damaged spleen, followed by compression of the device prior to resection of the spleen. A self-fixing nylon tape which cannot be removed after the operation is used as a compression device, it is made in the form of a tie-collar, has a ribbed surface on one of the sides, and one of the ends of the tape is equipped with an eyelet with a tongue for threading the second end of the tape into it, creating the tongue jumping along the protrusions of the ribbed surface and blocking the reverse movement.

EFFECT: method allows to quickly and reliably stop bleeding from a damaged parenchymal organ, the method is accessible, easy to use, does not require any special skills from the surgeon and does not require the presence of auxiliary hemostatic agents and materials in the operating room, creating favorable conditions for the rapid restoration of the functional activity of the resected organ without repeated laparotomy.
