FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to water-cooled reactor shut-down cooling at total loss of power. Steam produced in steam generator by energy of reactor core residual heat release, through high-speed reduction plant is directed into auxiliary steam turbine plant 17, in which electric power required for station auxiliaries is generating. At that, excessive part of generated steam is directed to mixing heater 11, where water coming from cold water tank 13 is heated, produced hot water is supplied to hot water tank 10 and used for feed water heating by mixing, when residual heat release energy becomes insufficient, to generate required amount of steam.
EFFECT: providing reactor shut-down cooling at total loss of power, and in normal mode is generating additional electric power by heat accumulated during off-peak load hours.
