FIELD: aerosol-generating systems.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to consumables for use with an aerosol-generating article. A cartridge for use with an aerosol-generating device comprises a housing and an aerosol-generating substrate located in the housing. The aerosol-generating substrate comprises a first portion that contains tobacco powder, wherein the tobacco powder constitutes a major portion of the first portion, and a second portion that contains a gel, wherein the gel contains an aerosol-generating agent. In this case, the first part is located adjacent to the second part. The aerosol-generating device system comprises the above cartridge and an aerosol-generating device comprising a receiver configured to accommodate at least a closed end of the housing, and a heater operably connected to the receiver and configured to heat the cartridge when placed in the receiver.
EFFECT: reduction in tobacco content while providing a taste characteristic of consumables with a higher tobacco content.
