FIELD: medical equipment.
SUBSTANCE: aerosol generating device with electric heating is used with consumable cartridge. Said device comprises a main casing having a cavity for accommodating a consumable cartridge; closing housing having possibility of interaction with main housing to close cartridge in said cavity; and heating unit intended for cartridge heating. Heating assembly comprises elongated piercing assembly, made with possibility of passage inside cartridge open at ends and forming inner air flow channel forming part of air flow path through device; and electric heaters attached to the elongated piercing assembly. Each of the electric heaters has a heating element for heating the aerosol-forming substrate when the cartridge is closed in the said cavity. Elongate piercing assembly comprises a first hollow axial portion, connected to the main casing and having a first piercing surface at its distal end to break the first brittle seal extending across the first end of the open at the ends of the channel, when cartridge is inserted inside said cavity, and a second hollow axial portion connected to the closure body and having a second piercing surface at its distal end to break the second brittle seal extending across the second end of the open at the channel ends, at closing housing interaction with main casing. First and second hollow axial parts are configured to extend along a common longitudinal axis when the closing housing interacts with the main housing, and said first and second hollow axial parts have sizes, providing the possibility of their joining at the connection point so that the elongated piercing assembly passes along the entire length of the said cavity at interaction of the closing housing with the main casing. Disclosed is an aerosol generating system.
EFFECT: technical result is reduced reliability and reduced risk of liquid leakage.
